One of the newest projects in our portfolio , we were asked by the client to help them design and have input from planning inception through to the final presentation.
The apartment was a new build project in the heart of Les Gets. We were bound by the constraints of their signed contract and item out of our control i.e kitchen, bathroom and earthenwear supplied with the project.
The client wanted us to help them create a family oasis where their young children could come for weekends of fun in the snow . In all aspects of the project the children and family time was at the fore front of the drive. The clients came to us with an interior design brief of ‘ We want a fun family home with a touch of luxury and a sense of a calm oasis from city life, lived in practical and luxurious. We kept the theme for the apartment family orientated with bold colours taking the lead.
They ultimately told us they wanted to be inspired and pushed out of their comfort zone away from neutrals. The childrens play room and bunk room area is one of my favourite spaces in the property, it is fun bold and vibrant and designed in such a way that it will be easily adaptable as the children grow up. Each bedroom was designed to compliment local art work incorporating the colours into the soft furnishings of the room designs .
This project was a team favourite with Katy taking the lead as the designer, gaining the trust of the client and pushing them out of that ‘neutral’ chalet look. The clients are in love with their new weekend getaway and love travelling up to the mountains most weekends.
