The brief was to create a contemporary alpine home that felt both refined and deeply welcoming. Rather than leaning into traditional chalet design , we developed a more sophisticated, modern aesthetic—balancing clean architectural lines with a richness of materials and carefully layered textures.
Materiality was central to achieving this sense of understated luxury. A palette of natural timber, stone, and subtle metal accents is paired with warm, tonal colours to create depth and cohesion throughout. The intention was to craft an environment that feels calm and enveloping, while still delivering moments of quiet impact.
Throughout the chalet, bespoke elements were thoughtfully integrated to enhance both the experience of the space and its overall identity. Each detail was carefully considered, ensuring that the interiors feel seamless, refined, and entirely in tune with the architecture.
Alongside the design process, we also acted as the clients’ on-site liaison—serving as their eyes and ears throughout the build. This role allowed us to guide them through each stage, ensuring they fully understood every decision and detail, while maintaining consistency between the design vision and its execution on site.
The main living space sits at the heart of the home—open, light-filled, and oriented towards the surrounding alpine landscape. It’s a space designed for both relaxation and entertaining, where generous proportions are softened by layered lighting and tactile finishes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
What truly sets this project apart is the relationship we built with the clients. Their openness, trust, and willingness to embrace new ideas allowed us to create a home that feels both luxurious and deeply personal—a chalet that not only reflects their lifestyle, but elevates it.
